Notwithstanding the base fees to be assessed under Section 8.04.010 of this chapter, and in lieu thereof, the base fee for each person transported on a long distance transport (same being a transport in excess of forty (40) patient transport miles), without regard to the number of persons transported in connection with each transport, the trip or call in a single ambulance the base fee shall be five hundred dollars ($500.00) plus eight dollars ($8.00) per patient transport mile plus twenty dollars ($20.00) per patient transport hour per staff member required on board the ambulance.
